‘Captain America: Civil War’ Spoilers: 3 Death Scenes Shot, Who Will Die? *Spoilers*

940-32

INQUISITR – Captain America: Civil War is now just three months and a few days away from release, which means that speculation over the blockbuster’s content continues to emerge. And the latest speculation is rather huge too, because it’s been suggested that one of the blockbuster’s main characters will die.
In fact, the rumors regarding who might perish have even provided some names about who might face their death in the film.

Obviously there might be some SPOILERS ahead, so if you want Captain America: Civil War to remain SPOILER free, then you probably shouldn’t read ahead.

Are they gone? Good. So, the latest rumors regarding Captain America: Civil War suggest that the body count for the blockbuster might include some of the most popular names from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to the good folks from That Hashtag Show, via Comic Book, it’s been rumored that death scenes for Anthony Mackie’s Falcon, Don Cheadle’s War Machine, and Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch have been shot. This is believed to be on top of funeral scenes for both Peggy Carter and Steve Rogers too.

Obviously, the likelihood of all of these funeral or death scenes being included in Captain America: Civil War are very remote. In fact, most of these death scenes will probably be red herrings, which have been shot simply as misdirection for fans.

This was previously the case with Avengers: Age Of Ultron, when the deaths of Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye and Aaron Taylor Johnson’s Quicksilver were shot, and only one of them was used.

However, while all three of these death scenes likely won’t be used, it’s pretty much a certainty that one of them actually will die. In fact, it’s already been speculated that another of the characters will be injured in the film, while another will simply be used as misdirection.

Speculation over who will be the character that dies has already started to gather apace too, with That Hashtag Show suggesting that it will actually be Wanda Maximoff, who is played by Elizabeth Olsen.

Olsen has already teased that Scarlet Witch’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is far from secure. Back in September Elizabeth Olsen explained to Collider that she hasn’t yet confirmed her appearance in Avengers: Infinity War, where a whole host of superheroes from the studio are going to appear.

Olsen said regarding about the possibility of Wanda’s role in Avengers: Infinity War Part 1& 2, “Those are things I’d like to know, too. Those are things that I have a group of people with me here that would like to know.”

There’s been some concern from Marvel fans about how Joe and Anthony Russo, the directing team behind Captain America: Civil War, will handle the fact that there are so many superheroes in the film.

Not only will it feature Chris Evans’ Captain America and Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man, but it will also include a hoard of superheroes that have long been established in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, Anthony Mackie’s Falcon, Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier, Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, and Paul Bettany’s Vision, as well as the debut of Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

Speaking to Comic Book, Anthony Russo explained, “We love ensembles, but I think we’re kind of in tune to the idea of telling the story that has more than a single protagonist. We like that kind of story. We like depth storytelling. We like layered storytelling. Joe and I, as we were developing the script with the writers, we like to pick a path and look at the script from every different character’s point of view. Even though it’s Cap’s movie, and the ultimate way we decide where to go with the film is filtered through Cap’s perspective, we do take time and walk ourselves through the story from every single character’s point of view as if its their movie.”
